New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine

The New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine was established in 2008; it represents the specialty of public health medicine in New Zealand and is responsible for the provision of public health training and professional development of its Fellows and Registrars. It supports its membership through ongoing engagement with public health professionals and industry service providers.

Areas of responsibility include:

· Setting training standards

· Examination of candidates

· Conferring Fellowship of the College

· Administering a recertification programme for Public Health Physicians in New Zealand

· Acting as a Branch Advisory Body for the Medical Council of New Zealand
